The Improving the Quality of Basic Education (IQBE) project was funded by the Asian Development Bank and the Government of Australia and was implemented under the National Department of Education from 2018 to 2026. The project worked to improve literacy and numeracy learning outcomes by focusing on better prepared primary teachers; strengthened capacity to use assessment to improve learning; expanded access to teaching and learning resources; and strengthened school leadership.
