Dear Acting Secretary Wayne Mendiola,

I am pleased to inform you the Japanese-Language Program for Overseas Students (Outstanding Students) 2024 is now offered by the Japan Foundation.

The program is designed to offer the FSM students with outstanding Japanese language skills an opportunity to visit Japan so as to deepen their knowledge about Japanese language and culture.

The program period is from September 4 to September 18, 2024. Those interested in the program are required to submit their applications to the Embassy of Japan in the FSM no later than May 6, 2024 at 5:00pm. An examination will be held at the Embassy of Japan on May 13, 2024 at 2:00pm. The examination contains a short interview in English and basic Japanese and a written examination of Japanese language.
